Return or Exchange & Refund Policy

Read our returns policy to make sure you qualify to submit your return.

To initiate a return, go the returns page.

  • Insert your order number and email address. 
  • Follow the easy on-screen instructions. 
  • If your return has been approved, you will receive a confirmation email and be instructed on the next steps. 

You’ll have up to 7 days after receiving your order to initiate a return.

You may return an item for:

  • Change of mind returns* — we process refunds as store credit. 
  • We sent you the wrong item or the item we sent is faulty —we process refunds back to the original payment method or store credit. 
  • Exchange for the same or another product.

Returns outside this timeframe may be accepted at discretion of this store. If returns outside of the 7 days are approved, amounts will only be refunded as a store credit.

When offering an exchange or refund as mentioned above, the item(s) must meet the following conditions*:

  • The item must be unworn and unused.
  • Any security seal, tag, or label* must remain intact and attached to the product.
  • The item must be in a saleable condition, including the original packaging, which must remain intact. This includes branded dust bags, care, and/or authenticity cards.
  • The item(s) must not be a FINAL SALE** item.

*To verify the product’s chain of custody when accepting a return, COSETTE also employs tamper-evident security labels. If such a label has been tampered with, a VOID pattern will be revealed.

**FINAL SALE items can't be returned or exchanged due to change of mind. 
These items will be marked as such on relevant product pages, in your shopping bag, and during the checkout process.

These exceptions do not apply when an item is faulty, unfit for its purpose, or does not match the description provided. In such cases, consumer guarantees apply, or where otherwise required by law.

Please note that the rights described in this Returns Policy are in addition to the statutory rights to which you may be entitled under the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable Australian consumer protection laws and regulations. There may be limitations on your right to return and receive a refund for products; however, these limits will always be subject to your statutory rights.

When providing a remedy under consumer law, proof of purchase is required.

It’s okay to change your mind. However, to prevent fraud or abuse of our Returns Policy, we may refuse to accept items returned for Change of Mind reasons if we reasonably believe fraudulent conduct or abuse of our Change of Mind Returns Policy is involved.

When a return is not free.
If you return your item and request a refund due to other reasons than mentioned above, a shipping and handling fee may be charged upon our discretion. 

  • Australian customers: AUD20
  • United States & Canada: USD100
  • All other countries: Contact customer service to get an estimate on the shipping and handling fee.

Should you have any questions about submitting a return, contact us at info@cosette.com.au stating your order number.

Once received, our customer service team will assess your return, and if approved, they will proceed to your refund. Please allow 3-5 business days (up to 10 business days for international orders) for your refund to be processed by your bank.

Important to know: Depending on your bank or payment provider’s processing time, it can take another 1-5 business days to show up on your account statement.

Returns that do not meet our policy will not be accepted and will be returned to you.

If you have placed an incorrect order or wish to cancel an order, please contact customer service. 

We monitor the number of returns made by customers, and continued returns will be flagged and at our discretion, may lead to the closure of the account or future orders being refused.

12 Month’s store warranty and refunds.

All products sold come with a complementary 12-month store warranty. If you have received a product with a defect or should your product become faulty, email us at info@cosette.com.au.

Items which have been damaged because of normal wear and tear, by accident, or your own misuse, will not be considered faulty.
If the product is confirmed to have a defect or is faulty, we will replace or repair the product, as appropriate. If the product is found not to have a defect, deemed out of warranty, or you otherwise do not have a remedy for a failure to comply with the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, we will contact you to determine whether you want us to dispose of the product or return the product to you at your expense.
